In the vast desert landscapes of Abu Dhabi rises a structure that masterfully unites tradition and future, nature and engineering. The new Zayed National Museum, designed by Foster + Partners, is more than a museum. It is a poetic monument to the founding father of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

With this black and white photography series, I approach the pure architectural essence of the building. Without color, form, light, shadow, and materiality move into the foreground. The striking, falcon-wing-like towers that organically emerge from the earthen mound, the powerful lines, and the masterful balance between monumentality and lightness become clearly visible.

These images are a tribute to the timeless elegance of modern architecture in dialogue with the Arabian desert landscape. A play of light and form that reflects the vision of a sustainable, culturally deeply rooted structure
